I was born in 1971 in Zimbabwe. My mother worked in commercial art and with art materials always on hand in the home, I started drawing and painting from a young age. I recieved A's for 'O' and 'A' level Art in secondary school and went on to graduate with a BA in Fine Art in 1994 from a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania and received the 'Liquitex Excellence in Art' award for achievement in the field of Fine Art Painting in that year.

Following that, I worked in various art-related jobs until 2001 when I decided I had to either give up my day job at a corporate art consultancy in London or give up my studio, so I did the former and started my painting career in earnest. Over the last decade, I have mostly earned a living doing commissioned work and my main client has been Royal Caribbean Cruise Line through International Corporate Art. I've also done many paintings for show homes for developers through Suna Interior Design in Southwest London. The nature of commissioned work requires me to be versatile so my subject matter has varied widely. I also sell work through galleries and do private commissions.
